All course and weekend fees cover full board accommodation during the summer course and concert weekends (where applicable), all music used during the course/concerts, all tuition, transport to all concerts and insurance.

What if I can’t afford it?

There are many ways in which you can source the money to participate in UYC:

If you are at school you can:

Run a fund-raising concert in your school;
Ask your school principal for support;
Ask your local council for support;
Ask your local Education & Library Board for support;
Ask local businesses for support –
such support will be acknowledged in our concert programme.

If you are at university you can:

Run a fund-raising concert in your college;
Ask at the university if there are any bursaries for summer courses;
Ask your local council for support;
As your local Education & Library Board for support;
Ask local businesses for support – such support will be acknowledged in our concert programme.

If all of the above fails, contact the UYC office who can put you in touch with particular trust funds and foundations who offer support to young people participating in projects such as this.
